Organizers of the 5th annual SCV Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 7 are seeking additional sponsorships from Santa Clarita Valley companies and business owners.
Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, King Henry’s, Nola Aronson’s Advanced Audiology and Oakmont of Santa Clarita have already partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter, the world’s largest voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research as the chapter battles a crisis that devastates so many people right here in our own community.
The statistics relating to Alzheimer’s Disease are shocking. By 2030 more than 1.1 million people in California will be living with the disease. Every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops it. In 2107, Alzheimer’s and other dementias will cost the nation $259 BILLION.
The Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter is working to ease the burden on patients and their caregivers with support and services. In October they will once again host a fundraising event right here in Santa Clarita.
Businesses and companies are encouraged to sign up as sponsors. As a local employer, your company can be a leader in advancing the Alzheimer’s movement in meaningful ways. The odds are several members of your company – your employees and customers are already connected to the disease.
Contact the SCV WTEA Sponsor Chair, Debbie DiCorrado, by phone at 661-993-2004 or via email at wtea4scv@outlook.com for information about how you can be a leader in the fight to achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.
The 5th annual SCV Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes place on Saturday, October 7 at Bridgeport Park in Valencia. The planning committee is in high gear as it puts together another fabulous event. For Walk details and registration log on to act.alz.org/scv.
