[News Release] – Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, Inc. (SDFHC) is close to its 35th year of service. It is truly remarkable what one idea can turn into!
As you know, we provide primary health care services to the underprivileged of the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond. The need is greater than ever as Santa Clarita has had a staggering growth rate of 59 percent since 1990. That is amazing and keeps our area in the top tier of growth areas in the entire country!
With population increases goes the need for more health care coverage for the less fortunate. We are now in the beginning of expanded service campaigns for mental health and dental care. There are thousands upon thousands of individuals and families falling through the current safety-net of protection for these two treatment programs.
We receive federal grants, fundraising revenue, foundation donations, and income from public programs including Medicare and Medi-Cal, but it is simply not enough. SDFHC has been hit hard by the recessionary time experienced by our donating foundations. Thus, we have had some normal and customary funding discontinued. We have had an exceptionally lean year, so we are reaching out to you today for assistance with our dental/mental health programs and our traditional primary care services.
It is quick and easy to make a donation to SDFHC – click here to go to our donations page; click the donate button; and then continue through the process. Your personal and/or company donation would be most appreciated.
As we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, after your donation you will receive the appropriate tax receipt. If you can give regularly or monthly, that would be great!
I sincerely want to thank you for what you have done in the past as well as the present and future. These are indeed interesting and challenging times. The many which we support will grow stronger as a result of your commitment.
With warm regards,
J. Chris Mattingly
Chief Executive Officer
