The Just Thinking Scholarship at The Master’s University highlights the importance of viewing all aspects of life — including humanity, society, and justice — through the lens of Scripture. Applications are now open for this year’s scholarship, and the deadline for submissions is Feb. 1.
This scholarship is open to new on-campus undergraduate students applying for fall 2024, and winners will receive a $40,000 scholarship awarded as $10,000 per year for up to four years.
This scholarship is offered in partnership with Just Thinking Ministries, led by Darrell Harrison (dean of social media at Grace To You) and Virgil Walker (executive director of operations for G3 Ministries). The ministry hosts a blog, podcast, and additional resources aimed at applying biblical truth to social, cultural, political and theological issues in our world.
“We’re trying to educate, equip, and encourage the body of Christ at large,” says Walker. “We’re trying to make sure they’re aware of how to take the theological, political, and cultural issues of the day and push them through a biblical lens. At TMU, they’re looking for students who want to develop in those areas.”
In order to apply for the Just Thinking Scholarship, students must complete the admissions process at TMU and then submit an essay addressing the question, “Why is biblical anthropology vital to how the church responds on issues involving race and culture?”
