Head Coach Chris Dahowski presenting Swimmer of the Year Awards by Mori Saifi

The nationally recognized Paseo Aquatics Club recently completed another successful season, and will kick off the 2017-18 season by hosting the Black and White Swim Meet at the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center on Sept. 16.

Paseo Aquatics co-owners Jay Wolf and Chris Dahowski recently presented post-season awards at the team’s annual banquet. For the first time in the club’s history, there was a repeat swimmer of the year winner as Riley Botton of Saugus took home the honor of Female Swimmer of the Year once again. On the boys’ side, Michael Andrizzi of Castaic was awarded the Male Swimmer of the Year.

Paseo Aquatics has been in existence for six years and for the last four years a USA Sanctioned Swim Club.

“We had multiple team records broken, new qualifiers to Sectionals and other national meets,” said Dahowski, who also serves as the club’s head coach and became ASCA level 4 Certified this year.

Dahowski, who is also the Black and White Swim Meet Director, said goals for this upcoming season include increasing the number of kids in the beginner and advanced levels, and to be in the top 5 as a team at the Winter Age Group meet in December.
